Modern Slavery Statement


This statement is made under Section 54 of the (UK) Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“Modern Slavery Act”) and sets out the activities that all 3stepIT Group companies have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur in any part of its business.

3StepIT helps businesses consume IT more sustainably, by providing customers a better way to acquire, manage and refresh their technology. 3stepIT serves more than 4,000 businesses worldwide and manages over 2 million assets, extending the lifespan of equipment, improving its resale value and finding it a new home when it is no longer needed by a business.

3stepIT complies with all applicable employment legislation wherever it operates. 3stepIT considers the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in its global business to be very low.



Introduction

3stepIT supports the objectives of the Modern Slavery Act to eliminate modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. In this respect, 3stepIT is committed to the following global initiatives:


  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
  • The International Labour Organisation’s Core Conventions on Labour Standards; and
  • UN Global Compact

3stepIT also strictly abide by all local regulations related to employee pay and working conditions, in the countries where it is present. 3stepIT invests heavily in supporting the health and wellbeing of its staff in its day-to-day operations.



Our Policies

3stepIT is against all forms of slavery or human trafficking. Our Code of Conduct and HR policies set out the 3stepIT’s framework with respect to human rights, including labour rights, in relation to its own operations and the operations of business partners. Policies such as. Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering are also in place to combat the risk of slavery and human trafficking.

Non-compliance with these policies may lead termination of business relationship with third parties or employment related disciplinary action.



Supply chain

3stepIT undertakes appropriate due diligence measures when evaluating agreements with new vendors or suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing service providers. 3stepIT continuously assesses and aims to develop its methods of detecting human right impacts in its operations and supply chain, also in accordance with its ESG strategy.



Training and awareness

To ensure a high level of understanding in relation to ethical standards, 3stepIT provides regular training for all its employees related to ethical business conduct.3stepIT also raises awareness about this topic via communications on the company’s internal communications channels.



Speaking Up

3stepIT encourages employees and other stakeholders to report any concerns regarding slavery and human trafficking, as well as any other suspected misconduct within 3stepIT. 3stepIT has adopted global Speak Up policy (“whistleblowing”) and uses a Speak Up line to ensure that all its employees and stakeholders have a possibility to report wrongdoings and ethical concerns.

 

All reports are taken seriously, investigated and appropriate measures are put in place to stop behaviour that violates its Code of Conduct or policies.

3stepIT continuously reviews its policies and processes, including those supporting the Modern Slavery Act.

 

This statement has been approved by 3 Step IT Group Oy’s and 3 Step IT Ltd board of directors and the Group Ethics and Compliance Officer, who will review and update it annually.
