3stepIT, a global leader in Circular Technology Lifecycle Management, has announced this week it has entered into an agreement with Advania, a leading northern European provider of information technology services, for the sale of its Swedish Front-End Service (FES) division.
The Front-End hub exclusively provides customised and specialised services for new IT equipment – which 3stepIT will continue offering customers as part of its portfolio of services.
The transaction is expected to conclude on August 1st, with all employees at the Enköping centre transferring to Advania.
Carmen Ene, 3stepIT CEO, commented: "Our decision to sell our Swedish Front-End service followed an extensive strategic review and careful consideration. I believe the services offered by the centre In Enköping will bring a lot of benefits to a vendor of hardware like Advania. At the same time, the transaction will enable us to focus on the strategic development of sustainable technology management services and the innovative solutions we offer our customers. It will also allow us to increase our investments in customer experience and product development and achieve stronger operational synergies with our other markets."
Jakob Lagander, Managing Director of 3stepIT Sweden, added: “We have successfully cooperated with Advania for many years thanks to our existing joint venture. As a key strategic partner of our company in Sweden, we believe it is the ideal partner to maximise the value of our Front-End service unit. Thanks to this agreement, we will be able to continue leveraging the Front-End services as required to support our customer experience while also being able to further develop our offering in sustainable technology management.”
3stepIT is committed to making technology the most sustainable business asset for organisations. The company has four remarketing centres in Europe – entirely powered by renewables – and over 2.3m assets under management today. In 2021 alone, it gave a second life to over 560,000 devices.
