On June 5th the world is celebrating the preservation of its unique environment. At 3stepIT we will participate in this day by doing our share.
World Environment Day is the UN's most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.
According to the UN the day is above all, a day for the people. A day that we can all do something to take care of the Earth.
#BeatPlasticPollution
This year we all take action to reduce the plastic pollution in our natural places. Nearly one third of the plastic packaging we use escapes collection systems, which means that it ends up clogging our city streets and polluting our natural environment, the wildlife and our own health.
At 3stepIT we have decided to make our small difference and dedicate our morning to cleaning of the streets surrounding our offices around the world. At 9 am local time we will go on foot and pick up all waste we can find.
We also want to challenge you to take part! Even if it is just refusing a plastic cup, or bringing your own shopping bag, we can all make a difference.
